What is a display in Lumicast?

A display is the connection between Lumicast and your physical display. In Lumicast you can set content to your display and manage it from anywhere. Anything you change in Lumicast gets sent directly to your physical display, making managing your fleet of displays a breeze.

How to create a display within Lumicast?

Navigate to the “Displays” page. If you have no displays in this workspace, you will be met with the following screen:

Screen you see when you have no displays in a Lumicast workspace

Press “Create new display” to get started with the setup.

A popup will open, asking you to give your display a name and to enter its pairing code.

  • Name: anything you can recognize it by later (e.g. Coffee Corner)
  • Pairing code: the code you see on your physical display after installing the player or browsing to https://player.lumicast.com. Find out how to install your physical display player here.
  • Type: if you are just testing, select the test type, which will only be active for 30 minutes and you will not be billed for it after your trial has concluded. If you are ready to use this display 24/7, you should select live.
